The "oPod"

I love my “oPod” and yes all you Omnipod users we need to make this the new name for it. I think its just as innovative as the iPod. It is great and no one can try to replicate it no matter how they try. It will only keep getting better and never go out of style. From now on everyone needs to call the it the “oPod”

All you “oPod” owners throw your hands in the air and wave them like you just don’t care!

The new oPod PDM orders started rolling out as of June 1st. Lets celebrate!!!

That’s great, Luis.

O-Pod sounds good to me!!!

“O” for Omni, hello…if it gives you orgasms than a big O for you. Did you think the same thing for iPod, they didn’t call the iPod the “I”?

O for OMG I love this Pod
O for Offers freedom
O for Original
O for One and only

My is going to be here on Friday!

I am sO Excited!

I can’t wait till it integrates with Dexcom!

Me either! I have the Dexcom 7 and the software works for both! Thats definitely a plus!

I have the Omni Pod, but until I got to this site didn’t realize anyone continously used cgm’s on a regular basis.
Someone, anyone explain to me why you need a cgm all the time? Are alot of people doing this now?

I don’t think everybody uses it, but it helps to make sure you see lows coming and highs. You can treat them before it happens.

I have been on a CGM since November (the Freestyle Navigator). My A1c has stayed the same (6.1%), but now instead of testing 12 times a day, I test only before bolusing for meals. I can see highs and lows before they hit serious spikes and treat accordingly. CGM technology has shown doctors that insulin peaks much later than they thought and it’s making people rethink eating immediately upon taking insulin. I’ve brought my post-meal blood sugars lower through this knowledge and have changed the way I take my insulin. It allows you to see if your basal rates are working, alerts you in your sleep if your levels are changing too quickly, and gives you a picture of how certain meals affect you. I am in love.

Here is a link to a study released last week about CGM usage:

Study Shows CGM Devices Also Benefit People with Type 1 Diabetes Who Already Have Good Blood Sugar Control
