To all Omni Pod users

HI everyone
I just joined this site a few minutes ago. I would like to ask all pod users if they are having any problems with initial bolus of a new pod, such as high Bg. I have been on pod a long time and never had this problem before. Its only on 1st bolus on new pod fine after that. I spoke at length with Insulet and they state that some people have this problem but its mostly children and they believe its something physical in the person not the pod. Im not buying this yet as I have been on pods for a few years and know what Im doing. Hope to hear from you. Thank you so much!

im on the brink of deciding to get a pod or mimi med. can u tell me why u likes ur pod. thanks

I’ve been on the pod for a little over a year and I have never had that problem before. When i’m changing pods I normally keep the old one on for like 15 mins just to make sure all the insulin has been absorbed and then take it off.

Hi. I’ve been on the pod since January.I’ve found that sometimes my sugars spike really high, but not all the time. I just figured it was me. I changed my pod 6/2 at 7:00 p.m. At 7:55 I was 144, then before bed at 10:43 I was 264. The change before that was similar, but there was a couple in between that was fine. weird
