Training your own diabetic alert dog

I'm so glad that others are training their own dogs. I looked into getting an alert dog when I first got a dog but it is so expensive but my puppy is picking up things on his own. I live with another type one and he also alerts for her. He bites at the back of your ankles if you're high and at the front if you're low and barks and generally doesn't leave you alone until you test. It isn't painful biting I might add, just a way to get attention and show it is for 'you smell funny' reasons. So far been unable to find a way to get him to calm down and realise that 'I know now, you can stop' so might investigate these books people have mentioned. Cheers for the info :)

I live in Bozeman mt. Contact me if you need help in mt to learn how to train the service parts of a dad as I trained my own.
