Walmart Launches Money Saving Effort for People with Diabetes

I think you all are correct. When I read it more carefully it says that a low battery indicator suggests that you have either 100 or 20 tests left before total death. But then later it says 2000 tests, just as Shawnmarie said. So just another case of my "operator error."

I use the meter and find it very accurate. Last week I paid 36.00 for a box of 100 so seems like there really discounting the price.

Thank You WalMart!

$25 per vial!? I inquired about regular and NPH at the walmart nearest here and they told me $78 per 10ml vial... but then again this is Alaska and prices of virtually everything are much higher here...

I think theres one drawback to these strips. Every other time I've been to walmart since I bought those strips (like, 5 times) They've been out of stock! It seems like everyone is buying the things up!

TimmyMac, have you looked to see if you can buy them online? if so then you can stockup.

Just got a whole bunch of strips from Walmart in the US (they don't have them in Canada). The Relion Prime seems to test 10-20 higher than my One Touch Ultrasmart. I really wish I had a greater meter variety to compare. Anyone else have any issues with them?

i live in spain and whenever im back in the us i get about 400 of these to use with the 100 a month the spanish socialised medicine gives me every month. i find they work fine. my relion meter also tests about 10 points higher than both of my accucheck nanos. i take off 5 to avg the numbers out. when i test on my accucheck i leave that number alone :)

When I go out I keep a Walmart Prime meter in my purse. I compared it with my Nova Max and it does test higher but since I'm aware I have no issues with using it. I test often and would be upset if I wasn't able to test.

This is great news! And others will have to follow suit to remain competitive, I hope.
