What song reflects how you feel about beating diabetes?
If I’m in a silly mood it’s
Pour some sugar on me - Def Leppard
Headstrong - Trapt
A Little Bit Longer - Jonas Brothers
Fix You - Coldplay
So I Will Trust You - Sovereign Grace Music (my church belongs a network of churchs that write their own music. this song talks about trusting God through all circumstances, and is from a CD called Come Weary Saints that’s all about comforting those who are weary. this just happens to be the song that was being sung at my church when i was diagnosed! i had my blood tested by another diabetic in the back of the church as this song was being sung. perfect song for the lifestyle i was entering!)
I am so sure Pink did not intend this song to be about diabetes but …
When I get really frustrated with it I tune this up as loud as I can without distorting it and sing as loud as I can
Just Like A Pill

Don’t Stop Believing by Journey
Shakira - Poem to a Horse - lines "
You keep on aiming for the top And quit before you sweat a drop Feed your empty brain with your hydroponic pot You start out playing with yourself You get more fun within your shell Nice to meet you but I gotta go my way " this is reference to bad diabetic me and me wanting to go my way"
Incubus - The Warmth “Don’t let the world bring you down. Not everyone here is that messed up and cold. Remember why you came and while you’re alive Experience the warmth before you grow old.”
Incubus - Drive “Sometimes, I feel the fear of uncertainty stinging clear And I can’t help but ask myself how much I’ll let the Fear take the wheel and steer. It’s driven me before, and it seems to have a vague, haunting mass appeal. But lately I am beginning to find that I should be the one behind the wheel.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zN9vd9WUiA
Incubus - Pardon me “So pardon me while I burst into flames.I’ve had enough of the world and it’s people’s mindless games. So pardon me while I burn and rise above the flame.Pardon me, pardon me…I’ll never be the same.”
