What does a 5% A1c look like?

That’s a terrific CGM trace. I would call the morning a temporary minor blip. He’s in range >90% of the time, I don’t think there would be much point in trying to do any better (even assuming you could). If he’s on Lantus that’s impressive - he’s lucky in that he must have a very flat basal requirement.

Start of puberty. It can go south any day of the week really, although on average most days he does not drift too much. We fight really hard for his stability - but he is lucky so far. I am bracing for a few bad years coming.

You are so right, Terry. I can have a BG of 300, then a 50 and average a 60. That’s a daily thing, but it works the same over time.
