Whats your Diabetes song?

thanks for posting :)

thanks for sharing!

its cool to see how many people have songs that help them with diabetes related stuff :)

i love Matt Redman and that song!! and good point about the chorus :) I don't know what I'd do without music!

I've never heard it but yes, you do have to try!!

Lately, I've been listening to this song a lot and thinking about diabetes/life:

I just put a diabetes playlist together a few weeks ago. It includes “Comeback Kid” (Brett Dennen), “One Day Like This” (Elbow) and “Santa Clause Gave Me Diabetes” (Stuckey & Murray) for some levity.

Bon Jovi It's My Life has always been my song. Diabetes can try and take from me but I'm still here, still living and have to live while I'm alive and not worry ALL the time about the future.

Beautiful by Christina Aguilera. When I was diagnosed a few years ago I was in the hospital with DKA. I felt ugly, horrible, and defective (because of Diabetes). But that song really got me through it all. Also, "Happy Face" by Destiny's Child.

Tonight am in a bad, bad place:

most of the time it’s Badlands

"honey I want the heart, I want the soul, I want control right now"
“Badlands you gotta live it every day…”

but occasionally, it’s No Surrender
"Once we made a promise we swore we’d always remember
No retreat, baby, no surrender
Blood brothers in a stormy night
With a vow to defend
No retreat, baby, no surrender
No retreat, baby, no surrender"

@Stuart hope you’re doing better today, it’s always nice to see you, one of my first friends here.

“LIttle Arrows” by Leapy Lee, 1968, but you have to change the word “Arrows” to “Needles.”

Speaking of which, does anyone remember the forgotten Guess Who song, “Of a Dropping Pin?” The first two lines were “Can I be somewhere when I’m nowhere
Gaze through a diabetic eye”

I was never sure I had heard that right, and I have no idea what it was supposed to mean.

Strangled snicker…

Bravo (whispered quietly)

Yay, I’ve always loved MacArthur Park. Now this song has even more meaning and I love it even more!
