I keep thinking about the millions of type 1 people who would have perished if Drs. Frederick Banting and Charles Best had not discovered insulin 97 years ago. This is truly a day to be celebrated!!

How insulin was discovered and made available to type 1 diabetics. Diabetes diagnosis before insulin was a death sentence that comes with painful slow death.

How lucky and alive we are now. Thanks Dr. Frederick Banting.
