1-11 Hour Flatline

Thanks guys, I was able to reacquire squigglies later so I believe that all systems are go for an astonishinly nice spring day w/o any “entanglements” as the girls are going to watch Royal Wedding DVRs. I have already scheduled a bike ride to get pints for late afternoon and things couldn’t be better…ahhhhhh

I will fax you $10 if you tell me when I ate my egg, ham & cheese quesadilla:

singing Danny, I’ve got your number!

What, are you guys going low-carb with all the knee-deep cheese around here? Lol.

I was gonna guess right before the dip but I can’t conceive a 6 hour graph as MM= 3 hour or 24 hours.

OMG its flash back to the 80s in here.

Awesome flatline Kate. Im with AR, food was inbetween the dips.

Dinner was at 7:15 pm and I stayed under 100 all night!

My first pic, sorry for focus, im phone camera challenged.

Looks like my night time basal is ok! For now… and for giggles, a 6hr run isn’t too bad either:

I think I may lower the bar, so to speak, and drop the upper limit to 160 soon.

Awesome work Kate!

Awesome looking trend there Ken! Looks like those basals are set pretty darn good.

Thanks for posting the pic and dont worry about the focus. So long as its at least semi legible were all happy here.

The little bumps were dinner actually, in the 6hr picture. Unfortunately my schedule is goofy and i generally get home around 5-6pm, and then usually i’m watching my daughter and preparing dinner for us both and we’re in bed by 8pm most nights, so it’s not an ideal situation as far as dinner bolus dose and adequate time between dose, meal and bed. I only started on pump last week so i’m getting used to timing all over again, but i used to trend high in evening and my basal would gradually drag me back into range overnight, only it was probably too high on MDI and i would go low overnight frequently. With pump now, i’m working on figuring out the combo bolus thing to cover afternoon/evening better. I’m making progress though! I’ll have a good 24hr pic one of these days! And because i’m inspired by you and the others here, i’m going to set my upper limit to 140 on the dex now!

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing kenx!

I am a new convert to the lowering the bar also  I started with 160, then 140 and now I am at 120. First time I’ve ever been good at the limbo! I actually upped my bottom number as well. I have it at 80 because I felt like some of those 65’s were coming at me too fast. I have no problem sitting at 77 (outside the lines) but I want to know it so I can watch it!

Going on 2 months for dexcom now. Had to open software to look since i couldn’t remember! I do see that i hit my highest % in target (well, my old target…) day with 77% (!) after starting pump too! That’s pretty encouraging too. You can keep the peas, but i’ll take a bag of broccoli if you got a spare?

New limits: 140/80 Will update tomorrow with results!

Looking forward to it.

Ill toss in broccoli with a “You can do it!” but in a rob schneider voice.

and some cauliflower, maybe a bit of garlic and olive oil - I am sooooo hungry right now!

yum, sound like my pumpkin soup. Although then we’d have to toss a gourd at Ken.

“Great blood sugars! Heres a gourd!”

If Ken gets a flatliners gourd, I want a flatliners frisbee! C’mon, Danny! Where’s our club swag???

Are you kidding me?? We still need a flatliners logo! I need a pullover for when it hits 72 degrees out here in LA. =^D

Logo?

Or maybe just _____________________________________________________ :-p

Way to go Ken! That’s a great result in a short time! You could practice putting on pic #1!!

Ok, supposed to be 1-11hr this thread, but here’s my last 24hrs, no-so-flat haha, but… if i had gone to 160 upper limit instead of 140, i would have almost been 100% between lines this time! I am using a new dex sensor though and it tends to drift a bit still, at least i had no straight up or down arrows this time, mostly smooth mountains =) I did notice that my bg levels started to raise after i got up this morning around 4am, is that DP? I’ve seen it before, mostly i attributed it to morning commute, but im thinking of setting my morning basal slightly higher from 3am-7am perhaps to try to counter it, and then maybe lowering my 4-8pm slightly, or novolog is lasting longer than 4 hrs since i’ll still drop more than 4hrs after a bolus in evening hours. Tips and thoughts welcome, i’m still new to pumping and haven’t had much of a chance to dig into threads to see how others setup their basal programs.

Also: the big peak in middle there was late lunch/early dinner at 4pm, which i bolused too little thinking it was getting later in day so i needed less since i usually tend to over-estimate my evening dose then go low. Kinda of frustrating when i still can’t figure out when my i:c ratios shift from lunch to dinner lol. Working on it though!
