2008 Ride To Cure Diabetes

Hello everyone!

I wanted to let everyone know that I have the privilege of participating in the JDRF "Ride to Cure Diabetes” this year and - as an avid cyclist - have set a personal goal to raise $5,000. I have been a Type 1 diabetic since 1983 and I am committed to raise awareness about this devastating disease as well as promote healthy living. This journey is, for me, both a celebration of 25 years without serious complications and a tribute to those who have been less fortunate in their battles.

Thanks to the generous support of many wonderful people over the past 7 weeks, I have collected over $2,100 for diabetes research and am well on the way towards my personal goal of $5,000. I have been training all summer to build my endurance and on August 30th, I will be in Whitefish, Montana cycling 100 miles to benefit diabetes research.

If you would like to be a part of this campaign, either as an individual or corporate sponsor, simply go to www.ride.jdrf.org/donate and search for the rider of your choice - or me, Keith Rust :), under “Support a Rider.” The Web site accepts all major credit cards and your gift would be tax-deductible.

I appreciate any support pushing us closer than ever for a cure - and I know how much this means to all of us!! Remember, no amount is too small!

Thank you in advance for your consideration as well as your thoughts and prayers in helping with the fight against diabetes!

Keith
