4 years ago today I was diagnosed with diabetes. I was 14 years old and a freshman in high school. I have come such a long way. I have graduated high school and now I’m living at college. I started out on pills, then insulin and now I have been pumping for a year. I have to give a BIG thank you to everyone over at children with diabetes forums. They have been such a big help to me and they were there when I needed them, then understood when no one else did. Oh, and my high school nurse, she was the absolute best. I don’t know what I would have done if I had a terrible nurse, She really got me through high school.
I can’t believe that it has been 4 years already, I was barely in high school and now I’m in college? That still amazes me.
