Hello All,
I have been on the new pods for a little over 6 months now and here is the breakdown on how things have worked out so far:
Occlusions: 2 (Both at less than 5 units of insulin left)
Knocked off pods: 4 (All 4 were right arm, bedroom door...ugh)
Fallen off pods: 1 (while on the jet ski @ 90* outside)
Bad out of the box: 0
Bad during priming: 0
PDM Errors: 8 (all stuck keys)
Test Strip errors: About 1,000,000,000,000,000 - that stupid confirmation!!!!
I wear mine 100% on the arms, and so far I am very happy with my numbers and my comfort level of controlling my diabetes with this system. I do test a LOT - at least 8 - 10 times a day, and that really helps me to continually tweak the numbers and keep me dialed in where I like to be.
I had to call customer service last week and ask for a one day early ship because I was down to two pods left, and my hold time was less than a minute, and the customer service rep was very polite and verified everything for me. Next day the pods showed up so once again, I am pleased.
I may be one of the lucky ones, but my Insulet CDE calls or texts me right around every two weeks to check in - she has been great.
All in all I really don't have any complaints at this point. Hope you all are doing well on your Pods!
Gary
