I was listening to a program on NPR called The Story (thestory.org) and they were talking to the parents of a boy who was diagnosed with T1 at 11 months old. The dad is a biomedical engineer and after his son’s diagnosis, he started working on creating an artifical pancreas. The show aired today (1/7) and is the program called “caring parents”. The parents were so on-top of their son’s diabetes, and then the dad’s newfound interest in creating something to help diabetics, it was a pretty cool story. Check it out!
