congrats on the a1c! mine is currently 6.9 which is up from last time, but i’m working on it =)
Way to go hallie bug! My most recent A1C is 6.5%–down from 6.8% two months earlier.
Test tomorrow , incl the 12 hour fast for Chol …thank goodness pump nurse gave me a hint …temp. bolus for 80 percent prior, so I will not go low and have to eat AND cancel test 
…results probably by ??? last one was 7.1 …acceptable for my age ( almost 70 ) Cheers to you hallie bug !!
whatever you are doing, keep it up! It’s obviously working. My last a1c was 5.8. I am thinking it will be higher next time as I am finally starting to control all the lows I seem to get.
Am happy for you, mine was 8.6 and recently (last week) it was 8.9

My last was 5%. I have been below 5.5% for over five years now, and I attribute that to my Dexcom CGM and the fact that I am retired and can focus better on managing the big D.

Way to go…mine was running 8.4%. Went on pump came down to 7%. Got the GCM came down to 6.2%. Had a seizure and doctor told me “not to be so hard on myself”- “low BG will kill you, High BG will NOT”…BUT what about complications???
I have had type 1 55 years and wish I could retire. !!!

You’re absolutely right. With A1cs running as low as we do the risk of hypoglycemia is too high. I have adjusted my routines a bit, and now average glucose levels between 90 and 110, and I don’t panic if I see an occasional 130. You are eligible for the Joslin Clinic’s 50-year diploma, and if you don’t already have it I recommend you apply for it (you can Google Joslin and get the application form). I was diagnosed at 6 and have been a Type 1 for 64 years.
5.2 up from 4.7 but I feel tons better.
it was 8.9 and then after a went on the pump it went to 7.8
but that was about 5 months ago, getting it done next friday… hopefully its better still
Result received from GP …6.9 , down from 7.1 AND fewer lows…I am going to the Diabetes Clinic this Friday and get other results as well ( chol , thyroid , kidney function )
My last one was 7.1. I’ve been trying harder and I’m hoping to get my next one in the sixes. If I do it will be the first time ever and I’m sure I will cry haha. If it’s a seven I will be really upset!! We will see-dr appt is in about a month.
My last a1c I also had to do the fasting for cholesterol. I had to go back 3 times because of going low. I hate having to fast!!
My last A1C was 6.0 I am getting it checked on the 24th at my endo appt, will let you all know how it goes…
