Is anyone currently taking Actos or the generic equivalent either as monotherapy or with other medications/insulin?
Please share your experience. My doctor would like to try Actos.
I have no direct experience with Actos, and it isn’t a sulfonylurea, which I shun like the plague. You might want to read up on the side effects before making an informed decision. It has been banned in France and semi-banned in Germany.
@David_dns, I am aware of those bans and asked the doctor about the safety, namely bladder cancer… He said that the bladder cancer concerns were based on observational studies. The more rigorous studies would have been to have two groups, placebo and Actos.
Am I being misled?
Is anyone else similarly concerned?
