How do you keep the air bubbles from forming when changing your cartridge? I know a few air bubbles is normal, but I am having problems with a lot of air bubbles. Plus I am wasting too much insulin. Any suggestions welcomed, please!
When I change my infusion set, I pull the insulin out the night before and I fill my cartridge and let it sit overnight. This allows the air bubble to collect at the top and it is easier to push them out. I tap the cartridge with a pen and then make sure I leave it standing overnight. On the MM (not sure what pump you use) I just remove the plunger and the needle part and put them someplace safe so I can reassemble the cartridge in the morning to get the excess air out.

Air bubbles??? Help?
Paradigm reservoir bubbles?
One thing that has helped me is to turn the insulin bottle upside down and tap with a “sharpie” (not your finger) BEFORE inserting the needle. There is always a “hidden” bubble at the top that “hides” when you turn it over. When you suck in the insulin you suck in the bubble too. This has helped allot. Bubbles are my biggest complaint.
