I’m currently doing the Almased Turbo Protein Diet. It is a shake replacing all three meals for two weeks. It is proven safe and effective for diabetics, resets your metabolism, and helps you lose weight. I was wondering if anyone has heard about it or gone on the diet. I want to know what the results are like. I’m on my third day and so far I’ve lost two pounds. Let me know, and I will keep you posted as well.
Any protein powder taken as a meal replacement for all meals with no additional food will result in weight loss. This product, used for three meals, is only 42 total carbs & 540 total calories. 540 calories a day is pretty much a starvation level, so will result in fat burning. If you ate only 540 total calories of anything, you’d lose weight.
Like any quick loss diet plan, this can only be done for a short time & then the usual disclaimer of following a sensible diet & exercise to keep weight off.
There’s nothing in this formula to “reset metabolism.” Would be a lot cheaper to buy a high quality protein powder & there are healthier ones than this stuff.
Sorry, it’s marketing hype with nothing to back up claims. Their site mentions studies, but as is usually the case there are no scientific references given.
Soy protein, the main ingredient, is highly processed & a cheap ingredient. You can easily research the potential problems of extracted soy products like this.
Honey, the second ingredient, is 38-40% fructose. Fructose is the worst type of sugar for a diabetic & for non-diabetics as well.
Eating only 540 kcals per day does not sound wise in the least. Starvation diets like this result in losing too much weight too quickly, followed by gaining back more than you lost on the diet. Kind of defeats the purpose…
i did a Starvation diet, before, all i did, was lost to much weight, & i was gaining it back,.
better off on my new diet,.
This thread is also 5 years old… Somehow I highly doubt the OP is still eating only 500 calories / day.
There have been a lot of 5 year old threads resurfacing lately. I only see the forum through a mobile view so I miss a lot-- do old threads pop up for people somehow with the full desktop view?
i get a lot of old, ones on full desktop view,.
