Animas Pump - Ping - pump skins

I’ve been pumping since May 2008, and just upgraded to the Ping.
So far, I love it!

I was browsing the internet for pump skins - and can only find them on the Animas site. Which is fine - but I was hoping to find them somewhere else – cheaper! Any ideas/advice?
If you have a pump skin, do you feel that it has really made a difference in keeping your pump from getting scratched or damaged?

Or, if any of you have an alternate method to keep your pump safe from normal bumps/scrapes - please let me know!

Thanks in advance

We got one for our daughter, as much for fun as for any other reason, but it turns out that the pump skin does offer the pump some protections. Our daughter (age 10) wears her pump on the outside of her pants which puts it in harms way banging into desks, coat zippers, playground equipment etc. I think the pump skin has protected the body of the pump from scratches or chips for sure. She notes that the skin makes the pump bulkier. Haven’t seen them cheaper than the advertised price on the Animas website.

We just got a ping and got a free skin with it. I think if you call the Animas online store (we had to call, we couldn’t do it online) they will send you one free when you first get your Ping. Anyway, it’s worth a try!

I agree with Karen that the skin makes the pump ALOT bulkier! I wear it in my bra without a skin - no risk of damage there:)

Thanks!
I wear mine in my bra too, so I guess that’s what I’ll continue to do. Does make it easier that way

I had my pump for 10 days. In the box came an ad offering a free skin with it I just call and they send me one for free.

Check this site out Pump Wear Inc.

They have some really nice products.

I have 3 skins for my 2020 - red, blue and black (however, I almost always wear the black one). Yes it is a little bulkier, but I do like the protection that it provides (I am a clutz and always banging into things) and think it is well worth the money.

Note that you get a free skin with a new pump. And if you don't want one for your pump - you can get one for your meter (that's what I used my 'free' coupon on, at least)
