Hi Carol - thanks for the info, the article was interesting. I knew about Elizabeth Hughes, but did not realize she lived until 1981, and had 3 children, after near death before receiving insulin.

Wow, cool article. Thanks for posting! It's hard to manage type 1 sometimes, but I can't even fathom living at a time when having it meant I would have had a 100 percent chance of dying. Puts a lot of things in perspective.
