I hope I got the name right, but we used to buy them for my husband. They weren’t expensive and with good vision, we found them easy to read by eye. I used to cut them in half vertically to make them go further. If I could find them again, I could buy them to supplement my meagre ration of freestyle strips ( I officially get prescriptions for 3 packs a year). I do manage to beg my doctor for more sometimes. It’s the health authority which rations them to stable type 2s. They’ve decided we don’t need to test ourselves and they cost too much. 6 monthly HbA1cs are enough according to them. My doctor has to go along with their orders.
They were discontinued in 2002. In the US they were “Chemstrip BG”.
