agreed, the agenda here is diabetes. that is why I am here.
This site has helped to inspire me to take control
of my type 1 diabetes and i'm doing better than I ever have.
Care Team members also welcome new members.

Why thank you Marie B...I am inspired as of late.
I got more ideas brewing.
Looking out through the bars of my cell.
I have come to like these little empty bottles...
I just cant bring myself to throw them away.
Approx $3500 worth of "Life Sustaining" Insulin...sheesh!!
Digital Diabetes...photoshop style!
Hey there! I'm so happy I found this group. I've been making monsters like these for a few years now. It takes a while to save up on supplies! Anyway, here's one of three that I've done so far. I hope you like!
Verity, please post some of your pictures of your art on your profile page, We'd love to see more!
Verity, Wow....again, wow.
Those works are just downright awesome.
I am very inspired by your work!!
Stick to it!! (no pun intended)
Very cool.
YES! very nice!
What do you call it?
"Bug that bites"?
Truly an artist you are.
post another?
Love 'em!
Thanks Thorn! That one I just call "The Hedgehog". The first one is more of a Panther-like creature. I'm not very good with coming up with names! Here's the last one anyway:
Verity, I like all of these monsters of yours, and hope to
see more when you get enough supplies saved up. when you start building these, how long does it take you to complete?
Hey Thorn, thanks so much! Each one took different amounts of time. The Hedgehog took a couple of hours, where as the two-headed panther creature took about 3 days. It was mainly the fact that I didn't plan it out first, but I would just keep adding to it. Walking away from it for a day and then coming back was a life saver!
Verity, you know if you are using supplies that you have used, then you are personally signing each work with your own DNA. Your works inspire, so I am planning to build a sculpture too, I will probably do a botanical theme.
Thanks again for sharing!
Hehe, that's very true. And I keep adding more as I build them. Very dangerous! I really look forward to seeing a sculpture! They are quite fun to build. Good luck!
This whole thing is designed around diabetic insulin tubes. So in some ways this little contraption is a insulin holder, but it's main intention is for miniature wargaming as a sci-fi piece (Cryostasis). It can display various small items inside the tube and it can also be fitted with an LED.
It's had a long history with many hiccups but it's finally here. Here's a link to the journey (Project Log)
