Blogs being followed 2016 for the TUDiabetes blog page

I added both to the blog watch list and Geannie, I added you latest blog to the TUdaibetes blog page. I have been monitoring Stick with Sugar, However it was dropped for some reason as I included the additional blogs from this years Diaebtes Blog Week. I must have made a mistake in the hand sorting or sites. However it has now been recovered.

There are 190 blogs being read at the present time. When the blog team reads a blog, we have to make an immediate decision about inclusion on our blog page. It is always a judgment call, and we ask ourselves what would our members like to read or need to know. Here are some guidelines that we use when making these judgments:

  1. For the blog to be included on the TUDiabetes blog page, it must be mainly about diabetes.

  2. Blogs must be general in nature. Meaning a blog strictly about the writer or family even if one or more have diabetes will not usually be posted. Instead, the blog team member who reads it must believe that the blog is of general interest for our community,

  3. Blogs that are offered by people who are more active in our forums and chat room are more likely to be published and will likely be posted longer.

  4. We tend to post one or two posts per blog per week. Blogs posted earlier in the week stay up longer. So if longevity is important to blog writers, posting earlier in the week will result in the post remaining up longer on our blog page.

  5. It is important to be nice to our blog team members. We are volunteers who do the best job we can with a large amount of material to process. Being kind will usually get a sympathetic ear, being mean will usually not.

  6. The decision of the blog team member to include a blog is not reversible. Once it is in, it stays in until it rolls out, usually the following Monday, So like the weather in Indiana, if you dislike it, wait a few minutes and it will change.

  7. Since stuff happens, mistakes will happen. If you want to talk, send me a message and let’s discuss the situation, heck we might even agree on a good resolution.

Sincerely
