Blood Types

Hey :) so, I'm a type B positive (Blood Group) , and I've been recently reading about blood groups and diabetes and it's said that blood types B+ are the most prone types for Type 1 diabetes .. so is this is relevant or what ?? are there really lots of B+ type 1 diabetics ??

interesting..i'm B positive

yeah i know !!! :D
They also say that type B+ should totally avoid chicken, tomatoes and olives (probably nuts too) due to their incompatability with our blood group .. u should read more about this i guess .. u'd be more interested !

I guess it's a good thing that I don't like tomatoes or olives and am allergic to nuts! (Definitely not giving up chicken, though...)

I wonder what that means, "incompatibility"? Does anyone know if this stuff is legitimate?

so u're a B+ too ?!
I guess i used the word .. they say they induce allergies or discomfort as well as somewhat insulin resistance *this is from different resources from the search engine so i'm not sure bout their validity ..*

and I'm allergic to nuts too .. but i love chicken and i don't think it causes me any trouble either .. I don't know !

I dont eat much chicken but I eat more of it than I do say beef or any other meat. I don't eat nuts ..just not a fan but I'm italian so I LOVE tomatoes..but I do have other allergies..penicillin, mangos, some other prescription meds ..and I'm lactose intolerant

Yes, I'm also B+ (I think). And I'm allergic to everything, but somehow I doubt it's connected. I'm going to do a little more research on this.

I am also B+ and Type 1. I love chicken but don't have trouble with homegrown tomatoes. Store bought ones are another story. I love cashew nuts, but can leave the rest of the varieties alone. I have a lot of allergies to various medicines and my doctors' nurse gets tired of checking them on the list every time I have an office visit.

I'm Type 1, blood type 0-, eat what my Celiac and other food intolerances allow. I think it's my immune system, not my blood type that runs my life.

Curious, how do people find out what their blood type is? I have no idea what mine is.

I'm Type 1 and B positive

Oops I’m O positive lol I thought it was B positive lol my bad :stuck_out_tongue:

ugh i'm AB- but still a diabetic

I'm O+ and sometimes I feel like I'm going nuts managing this disease.. :-)

I guess that's how we all feel like .. sometimes !! :D

Ask your doctor. Blood type is on your medical records.

I know mine (O+, the most common) because we typed our blood in high school biology lab.
