My ? is breakfast. I need ideas on what to eat for breakfast, everything I eat makes my sugar high, the only thing I have found so far is egg mcmuffin from mcd’s that does not make it high. So any ideas???
Hello,
Two easy options:
A.- 2 toast of whole bread with 2 slide of cheese, a coffee with skim milk
B.- 1 cup of porridge with raisin and sliced almond, the idea is cook the oats with water and some drops of skim milk.
Good luck
Right now there is a thread running on the forum with the title “What did you have for breakfast this morning?”. Many of the answers are complete with the no of carbs. I think you could get some ideas that would work for you.
It was posted 2 days ago, so if you don’t get too many replies to this one, you might just read through that one!
I find that ANY carbs at breakfast tend to send my numbers up. I usually wait until mid morning for a carb snack at work. If I have any carbs at breakfast it is usually just a few berries. Raspberries and strawberries work the best for me. The other thread mentioned above has a ton of good ideas. There are a lot of blogs and forums here that will be very useful. My normal breakfast is 2 turkey or chicken sausages cut up and scrambled with 2 eggs and some cheese.
I think the reason why the eggs McD work is due to the protein of the eggs.
So....include a protein or 2 with your breakfast. I don't do cereals....they all shoot me up high!
I eat eggs in various forms: omelette, scrambled with chiles, onions and tomatoes and a vegie sausage, etc.
