My view is that on the direct question “Can Metabolic Surgery Revolutionize Type 2 Diabetes Treatment?” the answer is no. However, I do think that some people it can help. The issue is type 2 is really a huge unknown and right now more of a catch all rather than an accurate diagnosis. I think over the next decade or so the type 2 category will be busted down into other categories and then you’ll get a more accurate group who the metabolic surgery will hellp.
