CGM Medtronic iPro

Tomarrow, I’m having the iPro CGM sensor attached to me for 5 days. I’m alittle nervious about having this done, due to the results are to help with adjusting my pump settings along with using it as proof to the insurance company that I need it.

I had the other CGM monitor done about a year ago, to just see what my trends are. That CGM was a pain the butt to carry and to deal with at work.

What I’m afraid is going through all this and being rejected from having the CGM. I had advised my endro that I’m tired of not noticing my lows till its too late, or having hights in the upper 250 and up and feeling sick. I have missed several days of work, cause of having either high’s or lows, so I’m now on FMLA at work to protect my job.

I’m worried that my Endro and Diabetic Team will miss something or won’t even have alot of info for the insurance company. This is what is worring me alot.

Hi Chadd,
I don’t have a CGM and don’t evevn have my pump yet. i am working on it. But I understand very well what it is like to not notice your lows until you are really in trouble and your highs coming along out of the blue. Then it is so hard to pull them down and you are feeling really bad from it. I hope all goes well for you and you are able to tolerate the iPro. I am with you and would like it very much if you come back and let us know how things are going as you are wearing this new CGM. I wish you well.

Hi Chadd,
How did you get along? At least that worry is done with now - and you’re dealing with diabetes. Wow! Did you find some lows as they were skittering down? Hope so!
