Hello-
I am looking into enrolling in Commonwealth Care in MA. I was wondering if any other type 1 diabetics are enrolled in one of the plans and which one they chose and why? I’m a little overwhelmed with the plans and want to make sure I pick one that will cover my pump supplies and insulin. I’m currently at Joslin and my PCP is in Boston also.

I’m specifically thinking about BMC Healthnet or Neighborhood Health Plan.
I chose Network. They give you back money if you go to the gym, etc. So it motivates me to go to the gym, and what not. I also go to Joslin as well. Right now I am trying to find out of network will cover the pump. Or I may have to have Joslin write a medical of Necessity letter to get it covered.
