Hey everyone, I’m looking for some valuable insights on cord blood banking. I’m type 1 and my wife and I are about to have a baby girl, so we’ve been doing some research. My feeling right now is that it’s a lot of money to invest in what seems to be a very small likelihood of having any real results. I know that there are many mentions of using stem cells to treat diabetes, but it’s hard to find anything definitive.
So here are my questions:
- For those in similar situations to myself, did you opt for cord blood and/or cord tissue banking?
- Has anyone been able to find any real valuable research that shows that there might or might not be opportunities to treat diabetes for myself or potentially my daughter (if she were to become diabetic) with her own stem cells.
- If you’ve opted for cord blood banking, which company did you use and why?
Thanks for the help
