If you can’t hear, and live alone, how do you know when your Dexcom is sending an alert at night?
Hi @Joan3,
This bed shaker connects to your CGM. It is compatible with both Dexcom and Libre.
1 option would be to use the glucose clock which has a vibrating puck that could be attached to your arm.
I am an audiologist! There are bracelets and smartwatches out there that can be set to vibrate when you get alerts and notifications. Bedshakers or flashing lights are also a good option, if you have the ability to set them up.
The nice thing about the Dexcom smartphone app is all alerts are standard iOS or Android notifications so any assistive device that activates on a notification will work. Let me know if you need resources for finding assistive devices, I know a couple of people I can ask.
Getting something to work using just the Dexcom receiver or a pump would be lots harder.
