Dexcom G5 and iWatch 2

I am fairly new to the Dexcom CGM–2 weeks in all, and am now waiting for the arrival of my new iWatch. I have been using the supplied receiver just to get used to the system, but today, added my iPhone 6, just so I could get used to using that as well. Now I have a few questions:

I have liked the supplied receiver because I can easily change the alerts from audible alerts to vibrate for night use. I really hate being woken up with an audible alert, and the vibration under my pillow is enough to wake me. If I am using my iPhone and iWatch, how should I set up my alarms so they do the same thing? Should I just set the phone and watch both to “Silent” mode at night? I know that Silent mode does not silence “Alarms”–but are the Dexcom alarms considered regular “alarms”? I assume the phone and watch should not be put into “Do Not Disturb” mode–otherwise, I will not get vibrations either. I may be charging my phone and my watch overnight on a paired charger, or, if I have charged the watch enough earlier, I may just wear it all night—don’t know yet… And I do assume that if I am wearing it, and I lift my arm to turn over, it will wake up the watch…

Sorry for the long post, but when I spoke to Apple, they hadn’t even heard of the Dexcom app,
so I thought it was better to ask here. Thanks for any help, or anyone else’s experience with this.

You don’t need to set anything on “silent” - if you have your watch on, it will display all the notifications, i.e. the phone will not vibrate or beep. What you need to do is adjust the Sound and haptic on the watch to low volume and high haptic feedback. In that way you will get a tap on your wrist every time you are going over/under your set limits instead of the mad beeping during night.
