Dexcom G4 Users

I just started up a new G4. Seemed easy going from 7+ so far, but I haven't even entered 1st calibration values yet. Has anyone experienced any problems yet with this new cgm? Software took much longer to download and is a Microsoft program, so not sure that will be useable for folks using apple computers.

No..The accuracy that I used to get on day 3 I now get on day 1. Love it.

I've used my G4 for a week now. In the past I've bad mouthed the 7plus severely as it was very inferior to the Abbott Navigater that I used before my reluctant change to the 7+.

All of my criticisms of the 7plus have pretty much been eliminated with the G4. It now is my preferred CGM at least until the new Navigator makes it to the US again.

In my brief time with the G4 it seems to be more accurate than the 7plus.
The receiver size is smaller than both the 7plus and the Nav and I love the very sturdy, very functional leather belt pouch. The G4 functions are pretty much the same as the 7plus and the color screen is easily readable
I'm pleased with the improved alarms although I liked the Nav alarms that wouldn't shut off until you responded, as I can still sleep through the short alarms. The G4 has improved in this alarm area especially in the severe lows and it is louder.
The extended range is nice and almost as far as the Nav.
The G4 transmiter is taller than the 7+ but still smaller than the Nav.
The USB charging cable is a great improvement other than the cable is very short (3') it won't reach from the 110v wall outlet, or my PC's USB, to the table, so I have to charge it on the floor.

The software didn't load correctly the first try but the second try took. I do use a PC.

The G4 is a big improvement over the 7+ and I've not experienced any severe negatives so far. I'm Happy!
