Dexcom G7

@Helmut Potentially I did think of a possible difference. I don’t know enough to know if it makes a difference or not. But my sensor itself is on my arm and I wear sleeveless shirts and dresses, so nothing is over the top of the sensor itself? Since it’s the transmitter sending the signal this could be the difference?

@Marie20, sleeveless shirt or dress does not make a difference. The human body is approximately 60% water. The water is the problem. I encountered the problem when walking in the morning in wide open space where the signal found nothing to reflect off. The signal cannot go through the body of water.

im using 3.1.0.3, the beta seemed like toi much of a hassle, and it seemed necessary to at least use 3 1.0.3 to use the g7…i prefer the g7, and only use xdrip smoothing, and it seems better and faster to change during insulin/meals/activities, however i was restarting g6 sensors and eventually that can lead to off readings… problem is you don’t know when… some lasted 30 days others 60, but paying 2 copays for the g6 vs 1 copay for the g7 was incentive enough for me to switch

dynamic isf sounds interesting, i will often still shoot up humalog during a large carb meal (pasta or rice) and usually bolus 2 units at a time to avoid occlusions, so dynamic isf numbers for me might not work…im also used to uam and smb with the closed loop… so much so that when i tried the no loop pump control apk, i didn’t realize and it seemed like the longest 3 days of my looping life(switching prigrams kills the pod)
