Dexcom sensor just delivered and it's 5° outside

A dexcom G6 was just delivered by FedEx and it’s only five degrees outside. Will the cold temp compromise the sensor?

it’s supposed to be stored at no lower than 36 degrees, but I’m sure it’s like anything else–manufacturers are always conservative with specs. give it a try and see if it works. dexcom will replace stuff no matter the problem.

(If I were you I wouldn’t post this question in Type 2–try the Glucose Monitoring section)

BTW - General forum usage note.

If after you post something, if you want to change the category, you can edit the title of your main posting. That will allow you to also edit/change the category.

I wouldn’t let it sit out there long. You can try them out and return if theres any problem. I have my sensors delivered to a PO Box, which is pretty inexpensive to maintain and also allows for secure mail delivery. It is -30 here today… I would not want them sitting outside in that for any period of time.
