Got the two thumbs up and a big green light from Federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield last week and a call from Edgepark Medical today. Matt’s DexCom 7+ will ship tomorrow and he should have it by the end of the week!
Stay tuned for more questions…

3 yr Dexcom user here…gaps like this aren’t really common. But often they precede a complete sensor failure. Get used to sensor failures. It ends up being not such a big deal. They easily replace them. Just talk nice to tech support. A revious poster said to use Skin Tac - and it is a very very good thing. But tech support says it is now a forbidden product. You can just make certain you don’t apply it in the direct area the sensor will enter the skin.
I’ve put every single senso I’ve used for 3 years on my abdomen. Just my preference.
3 months into the DexCom and Matt’s A1C has dropped from an 8.3 (gulp) to a 7.5. Not great but we’re getting there! If his Endo is happy, we’re happy…
Regards,
Chris (Matt’s Dad)
Great news!
We’re still lovin’ the DexCom 7+! This quarter Matt’s A1C was 7.0 w/a 7.1 the previous quarter.
Keep up the good work, Matt! We love you.
