Dexcom G4 Platinum on sale (Canada)

Yesterday I ordered a dexcom. I had decided on the G4 since my insurance won’t cover it so I’ll be paying out of pocket, and the transmitter lasts longer. I got in touch with Animas Canada (the distributor for the G4 system here) and was told that the cost was normally $700 for the receiver, $599 for the transmitter and $340 for four sensors, but that they were having a special right now for the entire set for just $839, while supplies last. I don’t know if it was just a marketing ploy to get me…

It was posted in 2017 and is in Canada. Are you in US?
Do you have insurance that will cover dexcom?
