Dexcom's frequent?

I'm getting ??? way to frequently and it only happens during sleeptime, which is when I need monitoring the MOST.
This was not a problem with Dexcom's previous model, only the G4.
I have moved the receiver to various places to no avail.
Any suggestions would sure be appreciated.

I’ve found when I sleep directly on the sensor ads compress it between my body and the mattress, I get an increase in ??? readings, often preceded by a rapid dive in the BG line. Do you ever sleep on your sensor?

I was trialing a Dexcom G4 ( here in Canada ) and it was suggested if the ??? show (happened not during sleeping hours as well ) for a certain time it may show and disappear ...if not to call your contact . ...yes it happened to me , however NOT the first 7 days ...only when I tried to get more use out of this trial period :)

Ideally find a placement that you don't sleep on. What works for me and some others in the front thigh about 1/3rd of the way from the hip to the knee. I'd probably contact your Dexcom rep and see if they can help. Slim chance it is a hardware issue. My receiver sits under my pillow.

If it does not relate to sleeping on it, then the only solution is to call Dex help. It could be defective.

To avoid sleeping on the sensor, I found the perfect place for me. I put it on the space between the front arm and the body. Hard to explain but it is not on the part of the arm I sleep on when on my side. It is just inside that part. I wear it for two weeks and by then I can find a new spot on the other arm. I use about two inches of vertical space on each arm to move the insertion point around. And I do insert vertically and have had no problem. I saw this method on a youtube--a young woman. I place it with the 'handle' sloping downward so that the part that is most protected from shower water is upward. When you squeeze the sides, it releases and falls off. Remember to take the flat "key" or whatever it is off before insertion.
Mine beeps like clockwork on day 7 and day 14 almost to the minute for a new sensor. I restart on day 7 but don't bother to go beyond 14 days.

And, to complete my info, I put two Tegaderm films horizontally across the sensor, covering it completely. They are easy to remove and each set lasts a week.

I have slept on my stomach all my life, thus the front of the thigh the sensor would also be between me and the mattress.
I think tomorrow I'll place sensor just under my armpit.
Dexcom has told me that they will only honor warranty, guaranty, etc. if sensor is located on your abdomen.
If you ever call Dexcom to get a replacement sensor they will ask where you placed the defective sensor. Any answer but the abdomen and it will not be replaced, period.
