Are you or do you know a diabetic? Diabetes Hands Foundation has come up with a thought-provoking question for a weekly video contest, with a compilation video being created and unveiled in time for World Diabetes Day on Nov. 14. They are asking diabetics to answer: What Does Diabetes Taste, Smell or Sound Like to You?

Contestants have to show the impact of diabetes on one of the five senses in an original video that’s under three minutes. You must be 18 years or older to enter, but minors can appear if their parent or legal guardian submits the entry. The highest scoring contestant per week will receive an EatSmart Precision Pro Kitchen Scale, the second gets a Meter Bag for men or a small designer diabetic medical supply bag for women and the third wins a copy of 50 Diabetes Myths That Can Ruin Your Life and the 50 Diabetes Truths That Can Save It by Riva Greenberg.

This is a good way to celebrate the World Diabetes Day on November 14. I await for that video with the compilation of the answer to “What does diabetes Taste, Smell, or Sound Like to You?” The prizes will be given out every week and they are intriguing to say the least.
