Any fellow diabetics out there who knit/crochet etc. etc.?
I don’t but my wife and her mom do…and her mom is type 2. Does that count?
I would love to learn then I could make chihuahua sweaters
Yeah, definitely! Are they members of TuDiabetes? The reason I ask is I thought maybe I would be ambitious and start a “Group.”
Hmmmm… I think you would have a hard time getting much hair from them to make any kind of fabric. But I’m not going to say don’t try it!
love to crochert when I have time for it. Started about 2 years…
I’ve joined – gotta check out people’s stuff more thoroughly now!
Truly do love it, Judith!
I have a lady in my knitting group at work who knits instead of doing crochet because of CTS. I haven’t learned to crochet yet but I learned to knit almost 2 years ago and I love it. Do it almost every day, the perfect productive activity for someone who has little spare time. Currently addicted to lace knitting, which is a combination of “AAARGH” and “OOOOOH.”
I crochet and I am learning to knit now.
no no no >< i wanna make sweaters FOR my chihuahuas LOLOL, it would take years to make a sweater out of their fur lolol
I’m a knitter, a spinner, and a weaver.
I don’t know of anything quite so satisfying as using something that you’ve made, starting right from the beggining with a raw fleece/ plant fiber.
I also do embroidery when I get the time, which of course there is never enough of!
Wow, I can see how that would be hard on the eyes! But amazing to do while you can.
I remember when I knit my first scarf, all garter stitch. I was amazed I could do that with 2 “sticks” and yarn, and that it just sort of grew into one when all I was doing was concentrating on the flow of movement, etc. etc. There’s something meditative about knitting, which is what I heard about it before I took it up and the reason I stick to it.
Spinning and weaving sound equally interesting. I used to embroider when I was little, but yeah hard on the eyes and takes some time.
lol too funny! Thats so evil yet so funny at the same time!
I do knit, every once in a while.
I quilt, and there is a Group here for knitters:
Thanks, I’ve joined!
Wow, beautiful!
