Diabetics Gone Wild

Okay the title is misleading but at least it got your attention.
Tuesday November 13th is the date.
All of us diabetics call a local news media station and ask them to run a story about doctor Faustman's research to cure T-1 diabetes.
The news channels etc.. receive too many requests to ignore. They run the stories. The search for a cure becomes a hot topic.
Even if you don't for whatever reason have 100 percent faith in Dr.Faustman's research the media attention could motivate other researchers to compete and competition is a great thing.
I'm not asking for money; All I'm asking for is one phone call. And I'm not promising that one call will change the world but one thing I can say for sure is Doing nothing changes nothing and something definitly needs to change.

I will reply with contact numbers for local news medias in Vancouver Washington and Portland Oregon.

If you would reply with contact info for the stations in your area that would be helpful.

Now let's get wild and crazy......

You've got it! I'll email the reporter @ the local paper tomorrow and see if I can sell her on it and work Dr. Faustman into my spiel, perhaps in time for the 111412 edition.

Acidrock23;
Thank You.
Originaly the idea was that the stations would receive a massive number of calls on 11-13 but as long as the calls are made they have the potential to create a hot topic.

Thanks Jethro! I hope I get some interest with the writer and I'll let you know. Perhaps I am cheating by contacting the fitness oriented writer but there's a health writer too. I played the diabetes card in my email but I dunno how smoothly I can get the Faustman lab in there. It's sort of a hard sell for me because I'm somewhat ambivalent about the cure. Fortunately, I like to talk a lot.

I'll ring my local radio station.

Here are the phone numbers for the News stations in the Vancouver,WA / Portland, OR area.

I'd do those!! *urp*!

I'll tell ya what Timothy, help me get 200 responses by November 10th from people willing to participate in this media blitz and I will post a pic of me getting kissed by my wife and two bitches all at the same time....of course by bitches I mean my two female german shepherds....

not exactly what I had in mind when you said “diabetics gone wild” I guess we all have different standards for that sort of thing

Yeah, I considered hiring some dancers for this but my wife wouldn't go for it....go figure....
