You didn’t find the right group.
Call your local JDRF office and see if they know of any. My group is about 2 years old now, and we’re type 1 women only. We’re sponsored by the STL JDRF.
That makes me sad, John. It’s a “support group” like that one which make people afraid to attend. I’ve never experienced anything like that in my groups, and I’m thankful.
You’d be surprised, Cathy. Start one, contact your local JDRF or ADA and they can send people to you.
I am sure there are other groups of people that may feel the same way you do. Why not put together your own group and fashion it the way you see fit.
We all need support in our lives to help us with our activities that are a little tough. For those who can make it with out thats fine. I wish I had a support group in my neighborhood.
I feel the same way. Plus I never feel like I fit in with groups. Here it is hard not to fit in somewhere on the site.
Sometimes I wish I had a support group but I am basically a loner so I enjoy this web site instead.
