I have taken to taping down each side to stop the bruising ! Any thoughts ?
I do this as well but it is mainly to keep the pod from falling off. The after affect was no odd bruising. I also stopped using places that bruising would occur.
I’m new to the pod (only on my 3rd actual pod), but so far the range of motion it has seems to help when I tug it accidentally. Hard to say. As for bruising, I haven’t had any yet, nor any situations where it feels like it would. I haven only had it on my abdomen/love handles so far. Will try out the upper arm eventually, although I have some hair there that might deter me!
Is your situation that it angles in under pressure and since it can tilt a lot that it digs in and bruises?
I think the extra lateral motion from side to side occasionally causes the canula to leave a bruise on me when I wear it more “horizontally” on my back/flank area when I run (b/c the bouncing up and down causes it to rock a lot more). If I wear a tighter running shirt it helps sometimes. I think taping it down some could also be helpful (although I never do this).
I am not understanding your problem? Are you placing the pod in folds of the skin? Been on the pod for 9 months now and only had one small bruise from it. I thought it came from hitting something “sensitive” on insertion? I have even placed them on the front of my stomach and “compressed” the pod between skin while doing sit ups and had no trouble or bruising? Only time I have had to use tape is to secure it after knocking it against something or a long day on the water. All in all the pod seems to sick well. Maybe elaborate on your problem? Or to answer your question no bruising here!
Sorry guys - just got back to this. Still having problems with the edges of the Pod. I have it on my arms - just on the outside of the biscep. The Navigator attaches with a firm seal. For example I found in the surf the Pod gets ripped off unless I wear tubigrip. One the abdomen, the canular obstructs when cycling which is why I use my arms. I have worn a Navigator sensor for three years and have never had these problems. It just doesnt seem to be secure unless I am suited and booted in the office. Will D, I am amazed that you can do sit ups with in on your stomach. I am not all muscle but not with “folds” so would love some tips.
So - I have tried the abdomen, not good. Yes the bruising is coming from the edges and when I roll over in bed. Arms are where I am now. The flanks bit I dont get ?? Is it not uncomfortable to sit in a chair or sleep ??
