....to put your pods? Just curious.
I wear mine on my lower back a lot because I don't want that bulky thing on my stomch. I wear it on my arm sometimes to give my back a break, but it almost always gets knocked off there.
Yeah, I've had one knocked off my arm (I've only been podding 2 months). My lower back bruises something awful! So right now, only my upper butt is working good. But that area itches, for some reason. I'm still not 100% sold on these pods....wish the smaller ones would come out sooner. I don't want to go back to the tubing. Have half considered MDIs again....ugh.
I like my lower back and arms. I wear the dex on my legs and stomach.
The upper butt is great....but if it causes bruising have you tried your biceps? Also, when i feel like a change I put myin on my calff (it feels a little strange but I find it works fine((I am also a runner so this spot is really good for me). Try them all...and good luck! PEACE
Upper butt doesn't bruise, my lower back does. Only tried it once - bruise was a doozy! Nice and dark purple, almost black and very large. Won't go there again. That site worked just fine with my Ping...Tried my calf, but didn't get very good absorption. Might try again some day, just because...haven't tried the biceps yet. How would that work? Seems like it'd get in the way.
I wear both the pod and nav (CGM) on my arms. Both next to each other and switch both, when possible, together. I do have one night out of 14 when I have one on each which is a tad annoying. But arms work. I haven’t tried legs yet. I cycle a lot - that might cause issues ? Temp and all that ?
I like the back of my arms and lower back. My arm is the easiest but I have knocked one or two off on accident(damn door frames). Lower back is good because I put it right in the middle of where your back curves in the most. I make sure I try to point the canula out and on a decent amount of skin on my back though because that's the only place I've had one shoot blood everywhere when I removed it!!! It feels like it's in the way more and more noticeable on my stomach so I rarely wear it there.
And don't be afraid to try your back again. It happened to me once in almost a year.
Not the biceps, you put it on your triceps on the back and side of your arm.
I wondered if that was a typo...ha! I've used triceps - works good (until you run into a door frame!).
I wear mine on my back 75% of the time and I've had a bleeding fit when removing it a couple times too. I guess that just happens from time to time. I find that the more fat the more comfortable it is in general. Hurts the least on my arm, but I always have to bandage them down after knocking them half off. Its really attractive, a big bulky pod with bandaids accross it!
So lower back ?? Where is the best. I have never tried it ? Does it not catch on chairs and stuff ??
It can. It seems to be the least problematic for me though. I guess it just depends on your day to day activity. If I were to just plop down in a chair I'm sure it could come off. But you have to be careful wherever you have it.
Like the back side of my arms the best but also use my sides just above the belt line and slightly towards my stomach so that way it's not out to the side and less likely to get knocked off. I just keep rotating in a circular fashion between my 2 sides and the back of each arm.
I'm a side sleeper - not sure the sides would work for me. I had a few bad spots in a row, so I'm reluctant to try new ones now.
I sleep on my back mostly so I don't notice this, but I do have it just foward enough towards the front of my stomach that it doesn't bother me on the rare ocassion that I do sleep on a side. If fact my wife will tell me to sleep on my side to muffle the beeps when it's ready to change a pod as mostly do the changes in the morning. If you have a hard mattress it might be more of an issue.
Got a pillow top mattress, pretty comfy. I'll think about trying it there - have to do a change tomorrow morning. We'll see.
Only place that works for me so far is the backs of my arms. I peeled a few off when I first started but I quickly developed a good "sense" of the backs of my arms and have not had any "peel offs" in a long time. I have not had any luck using them anywhere else myself.
Back side of arm is my favorite : when it's there I usually forget its on.
Other place I use is as others have said: sides..but a little toward the stomach.
I am a side sleeper too...but usually sleep on whatever side the pod is not on. I sometimes roll over onto the pod side and with a pillow top mattress, as someone else said, it works too.
