Terry thanks for the response I knew I can count on a fellow sailor. I'll read the blog you recommended and as a sailor you know you're around water and will be in the water sometimes which is no problem with my Animas pump I can be keel-hauled and it still works fine but a couple of drops of water and my Seven+ receiver is out of commission. (although it does dry out fine if you're quick in getting the water out)
With the improvements of the G4 over the 7+ they could have made it slimmer everywhere or have 7+ sensors work with the new Platinum receiver and make it waterproof.
I understand what you are saying and my low with the 7+ are always pretty much on so when it alarms I'm OK as I always prick the finger to make sure. The 7+ is often off by 15-20% on highs over 300.
Maybe I can test drive one and see if I like it.
Again thanks for your answer.
Hi everyone...
My first post here, but I'm here in WA as well (Everett area), and just got my Ping last Friday, and getting my training on the Friday. (like I need it... already have it attached)
Anyway, I have $99 stashed away for the Vibe, already on the Dexcom, and looking forward to FDA approval!
The main thing I don't like about the vibe is how chunky it is. I used to be on a Dana pump and it was so little (almost half the size of the Vibe) so changing to a Vibe was hard for me originally. The only reason I changed was because Pharmac decided to fully fund the Vibe pumps and consumables through-out New Zealand and that is not an offer to be turned down.
