Dressing Room Warning!

Hi all! So another fun and exciting diabetic experience today…

I desperately needed new clothing this summer since I’ve lost about 20lbs since last summer. On me that translates into about 1.5 clothing sizes. [INSERT EXCITED SQUEALING HERE]. So anyway, I finished trying on clothing and went to put my shoes on and for some reason I could not get my foot in my shoe. So I looked at the inside of my shoe, nothing there, looked at the bottom of my foot and found a safety pin stuck in it. It was in at such an angle that it just went into callus (luckily) but man, if I had sensation loss that could have got ugly. So just a reminder to people trying on clothes in fitting rooms, watch the floor before you take off your shoes!

Hope you all are having beautiful weather like we are here!

We don’t have goatheads, those look mean!

Damn…those goatheads look pretty nasty and scary. Wear shoes!!!

Cringing here…

Goatheads: wow - that’s nature that fights back!

Hey Devon,

Congrats on your weight loss!

I lost 20 lbs in the last 3 months and I didn’t even want too - Now I feel too skinny but I hate it because now I have to go out and buy new jeans and shorts (not that I have the money to do this) - everything is big on me and I hate belts. And of course the Gap stopped making my favorite jeans (of course). Blah!

Most people are happy about weight loss - not me. I hope I come to a standstill.

OK I’m the dumb one here, what are goatheads? I’m like the other’s here the idea of a pin stuck in my foot makes me gring!

Very cool about the weight loss. The safety pin is scary. Have you had a tetanus shot recently?

Gee Devon. That’s a new one about the pin. Thanks for the notice. Good for you losing the 20 lbs. I hope that you were able to find the right shoes and clothes that you were looking for.

No you’re not dumb Doris. It’s easy to miss.

Look under Tom’s paragraph.

It says “attachment”.

Click on the link goat_head_thorns under the word “attachment”.

Pretty fierce-looking. Whatever they are.

I have since started wearing flip flops (I know, I know, but so comfy). and I can slid them right through a pantleg so no need to even remove my shoes. Not like there is much stopping power in a foam flip flop but…

It’s a gorgeous 91 degrees in May in Maine, so naturally the locals are panting… we just aren’t used to this “tropical” weather this soon in the year. Maybe in August but def. not May. So if anyone needs me, I’ll be in front of the fan…

Have a great day guys!

Wow, really nasty things you have over there. Hope they will not learn to fly with airplanes.
