I’m just wondering what kind of shoes everybody wears. Taking care of our feet is real important. I’m not digg’n the diabetic kicks I have seen. I’ve been lookin at some New Balance 810’s or maybe just sticking with my good old comfy Vans. What do you wear?
I wear my Vibram FiveFingers 95% of the time - the other 5% it’s too wet outside 
I have tons of different shoes. I mostly wear Birkenstock Milanos when it’s warm, having lived in a college town for 20 years and all that? I have a bunch of different running shoes, my current favs are the Saucony Kinvaras, a bit of the “barefoot” style of shoe, although not as much as the Vibrams? I feel like I run more smoothly in them. The Nike Free Airs are super comfy for heshing around but I don’t like to run in them as much as I seem to run a lot more slowly in them. I have some New Balance 890s that I’m breaking in but haven’t run a ton in. Then there’s some Vans and Chuck Taylors, black boots, brown boots, Keen hiking shoe boot things. Probably a few other ones I’ve left out.
I have 2 pairs of the Birkenstocks.
My fav regular shoes are Merrells and Keens. Hiking boots, Keens. Athletic/running shoes, I love Asics or Saucony. Comfort is everything.
My school schools are Nike Dual Fusion St.s (one of the few Nike shoes that have a wide enough toe box), My work shoes are a pair of Starter running shoes from walmart that i don’t care if they get paint of them, and i have a pair of Nike slides for the summer (shhh, don’t tell any doctors)

How long is a piece of string? I think it depends a bit on how your feet are otherwise - ie dropped arches, high arches, etc. Personally I have to have shoes that are supportive, with a 3/4 sloping heel (no heels or wedges etc). I also wear orthotics because not only do I have a twisted knee, but a tailors cyst (a bunion on the outside of my foot), achilles tendinitis, high arches (very painful!), some numbness and lots of pain. As long as the the foot is well supported and there is room for toes to wriggle about I think it is impossible to tell what style to use. I have always found it difficult to find comfortable shoes because my feet are very different sizes, are very narrow and unfortunately my feet do not have cheap tastes!
I find in general the Echo or Rhoder shoes fit the bill, and they have to be leather!
Saucony forever! Saucony have a smaller heel relative to the toe box, which works for me. I get Roadrunners Sports catalog, and they have a website. Also by joining them, you get 10% off and free shipping. They have many good brands of running shoes, a few walking shoes, and all are listed as appropriate for high or low arches or neutral. I like Spenco orthotics as well, available in many pharmacies.

I wear just about anything. If it’s above 60 degrees then I am in sandals of some kind. I rarely wear heels. I have a favorite pair of sperry topsider boat shoes that are great when it rains. In the winter i’m in some kind of boots, Uggs usually.

The only time I don’t wear them is when my boss specifically says I can’t for a particular meeting or there are several inches of snow on the ground (then I wear Terra Planas). Other than that, 100% of the time it’s vibrams.
try vibrams, they don’t have anything you think you have to have. People who say that get vibrams, then get them 1 size smaller in six months after the muscles in their feet remember to walk and not just sag.
If you do get them, break them in slowly (your feet, not the shoes).
Sperry’s! I also wear Nike’s for Athletics.
For work, its usually a pair of sketchers boots, home / weekend is Anywhere rubber clogs or flip flops.
Id love to be able to find a nice simple pair of work boots. I was sporting a pair of Clarks Roar boots, but I wore the sole down and bruised the ball of my foot. Still need to get those things resoled.
