Thanks so much Rich for sharing your sister’s story with me. It really helps sooth my nerves a bit hearing about other type1 moms ( besides my own) who had their babies around the time my mom had me. I find I run into a lot of new diabetic moms but I have had trouble finding tales from older diabetics. My biggest fear are the complications down the road - so hearing about those who have had babies and who are still healthy many years later gives me a great deal of reassurance.
