Faith and Diabetes

Hi Lisa, your post really brings up issues for me too… I believe in miracles and divine intervention, etc… I believe that God has a purpose and a reason for everything… most of which we are blind to –

My 7 yr old and I have had this conversation recently… she wants to know why her… no one else in our family has T1---- I don’t know the answers but I do know that God gives us the brain to educate ourselves…of which I can clearly see that you do… and then gives a few of us the courage, stamina, strength to endure a disease like diabetes in our children – Only He knows the reason… maybe He is preparing us for something yet to be seen —

I have many family members that firmly believe that my child will be healed … I believe as technology advances that a cure may not be far… hopefully, in both of our childrens’ lifetimes –

I guess with my rambling…I’m just trying to say that I have had the feelings you are experiencing and to point out that miracles don’t always come down from Heaven like a swooping bird and save the day… Maybe your child’s miracle is that she has diabetes and it is preparing her for something of great proportion later in her life… Just my randomness…and food for thought …
