I was wondering how everyone feels about the “Featured Discussions” section that is on the top of each forum. I don’t know how it is decided which discussions are featured or why, but I find them somewhat distracting, having to always scroll down past several of them to get to the most recent discussions. Does anyone but me feel like we could do without this feature?
I feel totally confused. Sometimes I start to comment and realize the topic started in 2007. oops. So yeah, it’s kind of distracting.
I have mixed feelings about the featured discussions - I like it because it has some very interesting discussions that get featured and get more posts as a result e.g. the discussion about misdiagnosis stories, and the Crystal Bowersox discussion because it is timely and relevant. And there are times when it annoys me to scroll down for the recent discussions.
I vote that it be retained - it does good and at its worst, it’s just an annoyance.
