Greetings:
My wife is a diabetic and I am giving her twice daily injections. I never realized how big my hands were until I held a syringe in them. As all on this Forum know, the two types of insulin can not be mixed in their respective bottles so I am extremely nervous when withdrawing some cloudy insulin into the clear insulin. Can anyone give any tips on how to position, hold and fill the syringe especially when drawing the cloudy insulin into the syringe to mix with the clear insulin? Finally, and I hope this not too stupid but I am new to this procedure, can anyone give any tips on how to the deal with the situation of a bottle of insulin low but not empty. The amount remaining may be sufficient for the injection but it is extremely low in the bottle. Any information anyone can give me on these topics is greatly appreciated.
