First 24 hours after cannula inserting issues

After several years using the pump, I am having a problem for about the first 24 hours after I insert a new cannula. My glucose levels go rather high, as if the pump is not delivering insulin. However, there are no error messages from the pump. Then, after about a day, my glucose levels are normal. If this was a scar tissue issue, why would things work OK after a day? Any ideas? Thank you.

I have similar issues although it usually only lasts about half a day. I can’t explain it. Sometimes I am tempted to bolus extra when I prime the set but am afraid of going low if the issue doesn’t happen. I know this doesn’t answer your question but wanted you to know you are not alone.

Have you tried a different canula? I am switching from plastic to steel.
